The Past | Ruug | Glass

The Past: We tend to see history in terms of black & white, with important details smoothed over and/or colored in a different way. This preset reflects that attitude.

Ruug: A less intense version of Rug, which itself was a less intense version of...well you get it.

Glass: An attempt to closely resemble the textured glass one might find in stained glass. So deep hues, subtle ridging, high highlights.

Eye | Rug | Gamed

Eye: One of my all-time favorites, this preset creates almost 3D shadowed tangles that layer beautifully.

Rug: A variation of Eye that's less intense, less shadowed.

Gamed: The last variation (or so the front office assures me) of the "Game" francize. I forget what excuse they gave us for this last iteration, but I'm sure it's worth it.

My co-worker: "What are you doing to that poor girl?"

Cats: I have to imagine that someone who's being attacked by a cat sees the world in black in white, with a glimmer of color at the end.

Stalk: Basically, a perfectly tangled black & white nest that was formerly your subject matter. You will be very lucky if the end result looks at all like the original!

Stroke: Whatever definition you have for the word "stroke" I think this preset encompasses them all - mind shuddering, lines, and complexity. The close-up says it all.

Back on the horse!

Pasta: Think Shadow Play but a bit stringier like spaghetti.

GentC: This is just Gent with color, a great way to upsize photos without the ugly pixelation.

Mark2: Another shot at making it look like the image was drawn with markers, heavier emphasis on the darker inks.

Grab Bag!

Troll: Detail scraped and washed away, heavy-handedly, so that there are dark scars.

Deep: Another abstract that makes an attempt to appear to be a deeply layered, back-lit scene.

Gent: Renders a very minimal tangle that generates a painterly blend of the pixels and makes an enhanced black & white image.

I see the light!

Light Play: A cousin of Shadow Play, that's meant to all but obscure the picture's details. I typically use it as a first step, and add a second tangle to bring back the details.

Cuss: Broad strokes without much regard for feelings :(

Fresh: Another high contrast preset with small detail tangles.

I did mean crazy

Space: The not-so-final frontier. But like space, it's quite alien, and quite murky.

Marker: An attempt to create a setting that looks like it might have been drawn with sharpies.

X2: X-Ray for brighter images that would overload the original X-Ray.
